THE PLANT CENTRE
Our 23-acre site contains a large selection of trees including bare root, root ball, container-grown, standard and specimen trees in ornamental and native species; alongside smaller plants and herbaceous.
Nicholsons offers a wealth of expertise and a comprehensive selection of high-quality plants to meet the needs of any horticultural project. Our dedicated team provides personalised advice for both trade and residential customers, helping clients select the perfect plants from our extensive collection.
We will supplement our supply from trusted Plant Healthy Certified suppliers as our default and we also work with suppliers that we visit regularly to ensure our quality standards are met.
Our delivery service ensures plants arrive in optimal condition, with van and hi-ab lorry options to accommodate any project size. To support plant establishment, we supply tree staking, protection, planting media and irrigation solutions alongside detailed Planting and Watering Guidelines. Our team of Horticultural Consultants is available for free, personalised consultations at our Plant Centre.
With a strong commitment to sustainability, Nicholsons recycles rainwater, uses integrated pest management and our own production is 100% peat-free while leading suppliers to this same end goal by end of 2025, reflecting our dedication to environmentally responsible practices.

Over the years the various members of staff at Nicholsons have developed a deep and fundamental understanding of many aspects of horticulture, not only through years of training, but also as a result of practical hands-on experience and research. These guides are to support you in your horticultural endeavours.
Nicholsons have now helped us enormously in delivering impactful and beautiful planting on time and in budget at multiple developments. We have used Nicholsons for everything from small shrubs and herbaceous perennials, to long runs of “instant” 6ft high hedging, large feature shrubs and countless trees ranging from small bare root fruit trees used to create an orchard to substantial specimen trees that instantly enhance any garden. The quality is always unbeatable and their larger feature trees in particular are outstanding.
Put simply, we see no need to go anywhere else! Nicholsons advice cannot be faulted. Their nursery contains a vast selection and they can usually source anything else we may require if not immediately available from stock. The quality is unbeatable and we have found them to be competitive on price especially when the superior service, size and quality of their plants is also taken into consideration.
